Olá, pessoal,
temos mais seções
com exemplos dos usos de um/uma
e de o/a/os/as.
Devo lembrar-lhes que em inglês não existem
os artigos uns/umas do português,
pois a/an se referem apenas a uma coisa ou pessoa no singular.
Para uns/umas usamos em inglês
a palavra some, tipo: uns carros (some cars), umas maçãs (some apples),
e que também significa alguns/algumas.
Outro lembrete é sobre o uso de
once e twice e demais indicadores de frequência,
pois estes indicam uma vez, duas vezes,
mas de três vezes em diante se usa o número de vezes
(three, four, five / três, quatro, cinco),
mais a palavra times (vezes).
Além disso, vale também lembrar
que esta palavra, time, no singular, significa
tempo.
E para deixar a informação completa,
esta palavra também pode ser usada
em expressões de multiplicação,
como 2 x 2 = 4 (two times two equals four),
e como verbo: temporizar, marcar o tempo,
além de ser usada também para perguntar as horas:
“What time is it?” (Que horas são?).
Finalmente, há uma lista de países, lugares e rios
com os quais se usa o O/A/OS/AS.
